Platform

A growing portfolio of products and services,
feeding one African clinical data foundation.

Each product and each service we build captures structured data that flows into our clinical repositories — starting with ECG:Connect and Gait Analysis as a Service, and expanding into clinical imaging, HMIS, biomedical device management, and the datasets needed to train AI on African clinical reality.

Pillar one — Software & Hardware Integration Products

Bespoke clinical systems for African hospitals.

We design, build, and deploy custom software and hardware that bridges medical devices, clinical workflows, and hospital information systems — engineered for the realities of West African care delivery. ECG:Connect is the first product in this pillar; clinical image processing and a full HMIS follow.

First product

ECGConnect

Connected ECG capture, built for African clinical workflows.

ECGConnect is Offin Healthcare's connected electrocardiography platform — a hardware and software stack that captures clinical-grade ECG signals, synchronises them to a secure cloud record, and integrates directly with hospital information systems.

Designed for cardiology departments, primary care, and remote screening programmes, ECGConnect closes the gap between routine cardiac assessment and structured digital records that can power longitudinal care and AI-assisted interpretation.

Surface EMG & motor unit decomposition

Cyclograms & AI-assisted modelling

10-minute clinical PDF report

Pre/post intervention comparison

Pillar two — Technology-Integrated Services

GAaaS

Ghana's first instrumented gait analysis service.

A patient walks for three minutes in the rehabilitation gym. We capture five synchronised data streams — anthropometric, spatiotemporal, kinematic, kinetic, and surface EMG — and return an objective clinical report in about ten minutes.

Behind the report sits a research-grade pipeline: motor unit decomposition, cyclogram analysis of inter-joint coordination, and AI models trained on Ghanaian repository data — packaged as a practical hospital service rather than a research capability.

GAaaS data pipeline

From a 3-minute walk to clinical insight

01Capture

IMUs, force plates, sEMG, video — bedside-grade.

02Process

Synchronise streams, decompose, model.

03Report

10-minute clinical PDF + repository upload.

Data we collect

Anthropometric

Height, mass, segment lengths, BMI — patient-specific normalisation.

Spatiotemporal

Cadence, stride length, step time, double-support, gait speed.

Kinematic

Joint angles at hip, knee, ankle across the gait cycle.

Kinetic

Ground reaction forces, joint moments, and mechanical work.

Surface EMG

Muscle activation timing and amplitude across key lower-limb groups.

Analyses we perform

Motor unit decomposition

High-density sEMG decomposed into individual motor unit firings to study neural drive.

Cyclogram analysis

Angle–angle plots of hip, knee and ankle to visualise inter-joint coordination.

AI-assisted modelling

African-trained models for asymmetry detection, fall risk, and recovery trajectories.

Pre / post comparison

Quantitative deltas between baseline and post-intervention sessions.

Pillar three — Clinical Data Repositories

Clinical Data Repository

The long-term asset that compounds with every assessment.

Every clinically approved ECGConnect recording and GAaaS assessment contributes to a structured, anonymised national repository — designed for normative benchmarking, research collaboration, and clinical reference.

The repository is the foundation for African-specific AI models and academic partnerships with the University of Ghana, KNUST, and the Noguchi Memorial Institute.

Normative ranges for decisions

Foundation for African AI

Supporting capabilities

Training, integration, and the tele-rehab roadmap.

Device & EHR Integration

Device setup, EHR connectivity, report standardisation, and clinical workflow integration — built for Ghanaian and West African hospital realities.

Training & Capacity Building

Structured training for physiotherapy and cardiology teams in Twi and English, with institutional packages designed for sustained adoption.

Tele-Rehab & Home IMU

Roadmap: home-loan IMU kits, remote rehabilitation follow-up, and AI models trained on Ghanaian repository data.

Phase 2

Security & compliance

Engineered to protect every patient record.

Clinical data is a public trust. Our platform is built around defence-in-depth security, regulatory alignment, and complete auditability — so hospitals, regulators, and patients can rely on every byte we touch.

ISO 27001-aligned controls

Hardened cloud infrastructure, encrypted data in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest, secrets isolation, and continuous vulnerability monitoring.

Role-based access & audit trails

Least-privilege access for clinicians, administrators, and engineers. Every action is logged, timestamped, and tamper-evident.

Anonymisation at source

Direct patient identifiers are removed before data ever reaches the repository. Re-identification keys are held under strict institutional governance.

Ghana DPA 2012 (Act 843)

Lawful basis, consent capture, and data residency aligned to the Ghana Data Protection Act — with data sovereignty by default.

HL7 / FHIR & OpenEHR

Open clinical standards at every interface. No vendor lock-in. Hospital data stays portable, structured, and machine-readable.

Ghana FDA & IRB oversight

Health software notification with the Ghana FDA in progress; clinical data flows operate under University of Ghana IRB ethics approval.
